I think for his age he is very obedient. Of course things like sitting or laying down he can obey at first demand or I can say it 3 times because I think it is effort for him, he is very focused, is great at don't move in any position, is not disturbed by others and likes agility. For recall he always start very fast and slow down if I am far away...
I must say thanks to clicker training that allows to make more concrete actions and keep him more focused. Also he is great in walking close to me, running or doing agility without leash even with dogs around.
I think livestock guardian dogs like the Mastin, or the Kangal or similar livestock guardian breeds are not normally considered to be obedient in general, because they were/are bred to make decisions on their own when guarding livestock. So seeing an obedient mastin on a training field is interesting and different to me. I believe a mastin can be obedient, but my personal experience is that they need a good and patient trainer
yes Jonas, we have to be patients trainers . but , curiosly , obedient mastins keep their mastin's caracter .for example, Camelia who is very obedient, is my best gardian dog !!!
